As things are heating up in the world especially in Ukraine. I believe God has called us ministers who must stay focused on the eternal struggle of our souls and the souls of those who God places under our care. The Two Ways is a reminder of that struggle and a call to return to the Simplicity that is in Messiah during these times and especially during the times to come.
“Make sure your SEE time is comeasurate with your KNEE time” (talk about getting a good knee pad and show the pad.)
The Narrow Gate Dichotomy – a division or contrast between two things that are or are represented as being opposed or entirely different.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:13-14
The Two Paths PSALMS 1
(Matthew 5:3-12; Luke 6:20-23)
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. but his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Psalms 1
The Didache meaning “Teaching” is the short name of a Christian manual compiled before 300AD. The full title is The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles.
There are two roads: one of life, and one of death.
DERASHA KATAN (small discourse)
There is great variance between the two.
First of all, we will care for Elohim who brought us into being.
Secondly, you will care for your neighbor as yourself.
All that what we would not have happen to us,
We will make sure does not happen to another.
The Challenge
Mastema (Hebrew: מַשְׂטֵמָה Mastēmā; Ge’ez: መሰቴማ Mesetēma) is an angel who appears in the Book of Jubilees. He carries out punishments for God, as well as tempting humans and testing their faith. In the Zadokite Fragments and the Dead Sea Scrolls, he is the angel of disaster, the father of all evil, and a flatterer of God. He is said to have become a fallen angel. He first appears in the literature of the Second Temple Period as a personification of the Hebrew word mastemah (מַשְׂטֵמָה), meaning “hatred”, “hostility”, “enmity”, or “persecution”.
Gods declared punishment for the House of Israel, or also known as Ephraim.
Hosea :9:7 בָּ֣אוּ ׀ יְמֵ֣י הַפְּקֻדָּ֗ה בָּ֚אוּ יְמֵ֣י הַשִׁלֻּ֔ם יֵדְע֖וּ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֱוִ֣יל הַנָּבִ֗יא מְשֻׁגָּע֙ אִ֣ישׁ הָר֔וּחַ עַ֚ל רֹ֣ב עֲוֹנְךָ֔ וְרַבָּ֖ה מַשְׂטֵמָֽה׃ “The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.” (meaning “hatred”, “hostility”, “enmity”, or “persecution”)
The watchman of Ephraim was with my God but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways and hatred in the house of his God
Parallels – House of Israel, False Idols at Dan and Bethel, Kicked out the levitical priesthood and installed their own priests or corrupted those levites that would adopt the religion of Jereboam Son Of nebat – thus allowing Satan / Mastema to enter in and eventually destroy the church.
What is the book of Jubilees?
“Until the discovery of extensive fragments among the Dead Sea Scrolls (DSS), the only surviving manuscripts of Jubilees were four complete Ge’ez texts dating to the 15th and 16th centuries, and several quotations by the Church fathers such as Epiphanius, Justin Martyr, Origen as well as Diodorus of Tarsus, Isidore of Alexandria, Isidore of Seville, Eutychius of Alexandria, John Malalas, George Syncellus, and George Kedrenos. There is also a preserved fragment of a Latin translation of the Greek that contains about a quarter of the whole work.[3] The Ethiopic texts, now numbering twenty-seven, are the primary basis for translations into English. “
JUBILEES 10 (like the book of Job and how satan comes before the throne to ask to persecute/tempt Job)
And in the third week of this jubilee the unclean demons began to lead astray the children of the sons of Noah, and to make to err and destroy them.
And the sons of Noah came to Noah their father, and they told him concerning the demons which were leading astray and blinding and slaying his sons’ sons.
And he prayed before the Lord his God, and said:’God of the spirits of all flesh, who hast shown mercy unto me
And hast saved me and my sons from the waters of the flood,
And hast not caused me to perish as Thou didst the sons of perdition; For Thy grace has been great towards me,
And great has been Thy mercy to my soul;Let Thy grace be lift up upon my sons,
And let not wicked spirits rule over them
Lest they should destroy them from the earth. But do Thou bless me and my sons, that we may increase and Multiply and replenish the earth.
And Thou knowest how Thy Watchers, the fathers of these spirits, acted in my day: and as for these spirits which are living, imprison them and hold them fast in the place of condemnation, and let them not bring destruction on the sons of thy servant, my God; for these are malignant, and created in order to destroy.
And let them not rule over the spirits of the living; for Thou alone canst exercise dominion over them. And let them not have power over the sons of the righteous from henceforth and for evermore.’
And the Lord our God bade us to bind all.
And the chief of the spirits, Mastêmâ, came and said: ‘Lord, Creator, let some of them remain before me, and let them harken to my voice, and do all that I shall say unto them; for if some of them are not left to me, I shall not be able to execute the power of my will on the sons of men; for these are for corruption and leading astray before my judgment, for great is the wickedness of the sons of men.’
JUBILEES 10
THE HOMILY
YHWH Elohim created humans to rule over the world, appointing for them two spirits in which to walk until the time set for His visitation.
THE HOMILY
These are the spirits of truth and falsehood. An upright nature and destiny
originate in the Territory of Light; and conversely, a perverse nature originates in the
Fountain of Darkness. The authority of the Prince of Light extends to
governing of all righteous people; so of course, they walk in the paths of
light. Likewise, the authority of the Angel of Darkness grips the
government of all vile people, so naturally they walk in the paths of
darkness. (2 Corinthians 4:4) (Mastema, Jubilees)
Yet the Elohim of Israel and the Malach of His Truth aid all the Sons of
Light. It is actually He who created the spirits of light and darkness,
making them the foundation-stone of everything done, their impulses the
reason for every act. Elohim’s love for one spirit endures forever. He will
always be pleased with such acts. But the counsel of the other He hates,
despising its every impulse for all time.
Here are their operations in the world: one lights up a person’s mind,
straightening the pathways before him in true righteousness and causing
his heart to respect the laws of Elohim. This spirit produces humility,
patience, great compassion, continued goodness, insight, understanding,
and powerful wisdom resonating to each of Elohim’s works, kept by His
constant faithfulness. It produces a spirit knowledgeable in every plan of
action, zealous for the laws of righteousness, devoted in its thoughts, and
unfaltering in purpose.
This spirit encourages plenty of compassion on all who hold tightly to the
truth, and magnificent clarity combined with an instinctive hatred of
impurity in its every disguise. It results in humble conduct combined with
wide-ranging discernment, with an ability to conceal truth, that is, the
mysteries of knowledge. (Proverbs 25:2) So the earthly counsel of the spirit works to
these ends for those whose character yearns for truth. Through a gracious
visitation all who walk in this spirit will know healing, bountiful peace,
long life, and a prodigious family, followed by enduring blessings and
continual joy through a long-lasting life. They will receive a crown of
favor with a robe of honor, dazzling forever and ever!
Let us choose Life! Let us choose to be Sons and Daughters of Light!
Amein! (from the Didaché and the Yahad Rule)
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
Proverbs 25:2
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2 Corinthians 4:4
Francis Thompson Francis Thompson (16 December 1859 – 13 November 1907) was an English poet and Catholic mystic. He suffered from heatlh problems all his life, and as a result, became addicted to Opium (a common scourge in England at the time) His poems were published because kind people Wilfrid and Alice Meynell took him into their home, In 1888 and read his poetry and later published his first volume, Poems, in 1893. The poem is a magnificent piece of literary art describing how God pursues the souls of man, though man does his best to run from God, God continunally purses especially the poorest of society.
THE HOUND OF HEAVEN
1 I fled Him, down the nights and down the days;
2 I fled Him, down the arches of the years;
3 I fled Him, down the labyrinthine ways
4 Of my own mind; and in the mist of tears
5 I hid from Him, and under running laughter.
6 Up vistaed hopes I sped;
7 And shot, precipitated,
8 Adown Titanic glooms of chasmèd fears,
9 From those strong Feet that followed, followed after.
10 But with unhurrying chase,
11 And unperturbèd pace,
12 Deliberate speed, majestic instancy,
13 They beat—and a Voice beat
14 More instant than the Feet—
15 ‘All things betray thee, who betrayest Me.’
How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
Matthew 18:12-14
The Call to return
“Thus says Yahweh, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, ‘Where is the good way?’ and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Jeremiah 6:16a
