REPENT in Hebrew means “to turn back/return.”
Contrary to common belief, repentance isn’t merely saying, “Please forgive me,” as many churches teach. REPENT is an active verb, signifying not just a verbal expression but a complete turning away from sin and a return to YHWH, the Divine Breath from which we were created. It involves embracing His ancient paths and forsaking worldly ways.
Some churches and doctrines teach, “Sin all you want; just repent.”..(Just know that it creates a paradox, so to speak)
You cannot truly repent if you keep intentionally sinning, as true repentance means to turn back…turn away from that sin completely…go back to YHWH.
